Map of Gahanna, Ohio

Gahanna is a suburb of Columbus, located in Franklin County. It was founded in 1849 along the Big Walnut Creek by John Clark of Ross County. The land was gift to Clark by his father, Joseph Clark, who had previously purchased the land from Governor Washington in 1814. Although it started out as a mere 800 acres, Gahanna has grown to a population of over 33,000 residents as of the 2010 Census. The meaning behind the name “Gahanna” is derived from a Native American word meaning “three creeks joining into one” and is also the former name of the Big Walnut Creek. Gahanna’s Official Seal even refers to the confluence of three creeks with the inscription: “Three In One.” Care Heating & Cooling proudly serves the Gahanna community.
